Description

160mm x 110mm 45 Degree Double Socket Junction

Product Description

This 160mm x 110mm 45 Degree Double Socket Junction is designed to connect a smaller branch line into a larger main run, offering a smooth transition with minimal disruption to flow. It features three socket ends—two sized for 160 mm pipe and one for the 110 mm branch—making plumbing designs more flexible and reducing the number of separate connectors needed.

Moulded from high-grade PVC-U (or equivalent underground drainage-rated plastic), this junction is built for resilience in buried installation conditions. Its interior profile is engineered to minimise turbulence and build-ups, supporting efficient drainage and easier maintenance. The sockets employ push-fit ring-seal technology, enabling quick, solvent-free installation. Because it meets recognized standards for underground drainage (e.g. BS EN 1401) in many systems, it can be confidently specified in both domestic and light commercial projects.

Key Features

  • Triple socket configuration: 2 × 160 mm run sockets + 1 × 110 mm branch socket

  • Branch angle: 45°, aiding smoother flow than sharper angles

  • Material: durable PVC-U (or equivalent) suitable for underground drainage systems

  • Jointing: push-fit / ring-seal sockets for easy and watertight connections

  • Internal profile optimised for minimal turbulence and silt accumulation

  • Commonly used in systems following BS EN / British drainage standards

Benefits

  • Simplified layout: A single fitting accommodates main runs and lateral branches, reducing extra couplers and jointing.

  • Efficient hydraulics: The 45° angle helps maintain flow momentum, reducing the risk of sediment buildup or turbulence at the junction.

  • Ease of installation: Push-fit sockets make assembly faster and cleaner, with less risk of misalignment or leaks.

  • Long-term durability: PVC-U construction resists corrosion, soil stresses, and moisture over time.

  • Better maintenance: Cleaner internal profiles and fewer joints help simplify future inspection, rodding or flushing.
