Description

110mm Backwater Valve Single Flap – Capricorn

Product Description

This 110mm Backwater Valve Single Flap – Capricorn is designed to safeguard your property from sewer or stormwater backflow — particularly for low-lying rooms, basements, or drainage stacks where flooding or odours could be a risk. The valve allows water to flow out from your building as normal, but automatically closes to block reverse flow when pressure builds up in the sewer or drain from heavy rain or blockages.

Constructed in durable PVC, this valve is approximately 300 mm long, so ensure you have enough space in the pipe stack to accommodate its length. The design is suited to push-fit connections, making installation relatively straightforward in standard 110 mm underground drainage systems. It operates automatically without external power, and is ideal for preventing water ingress, unpleasant smells, or sewage backflow into lower parts of buildings.

Key Features

  • Diameter: 110 mm, fits standard 110 mm drainage / soil / waste pipework.

  • Length: ~ 300 mm — requires adequate space in your pipe stack.

  • Material: PVC (or similar plastic) — lightweight, corrosion-resistant, suitable for underground drainage.

  • Automatic closure: Valve closes under reverse pressure; operates without external power.

  • Push-fit connection: For ease of installation with standard pipe systems.

Benefits

  • Flood prevention: Helps stop sewage or stormwater flowing back into properties during heavy rain or sewer surges.

  • Odour control: Prevents foul smells from the drains from entering interiors.

  • Quick installation: Push-fit design makes it easier to fit than some more complex valves or systems.

  • Low maintenance: Once installed, little needed beyond occasional inspection.

  • Cost-saving protection: Avoids repair, drying, mould, and water damage costs by preventing backflow.
