It allows wastewater to flow out normally, but when there is backflow (for example during heavy rain or sewer overflow), its dual stainless steel flaps automatically close to prevent water, sludge, or rodents from entering back into buildings. Ideal for both retrofit and new installations in foul sewer systems, storm drains and underground drainage where backwater protection is required.

The valve is built for robustness and low maintenance, with materials resistant to corrosion and engineered to comply with performance and safety standards (such as BS EN 13564). It features a body designed to minimise blockages and a design that makes inspection, cleaning or flap repair possible via a removable lid or similar access point. Suitable for use in pipes from around 110 mm up to larger sizes in many applications.
