Application Guidelines:

1. Surface Preparation: Ensure all surfaces are clean, dry, and free from dust or loose materials. Remove old sealant and flaking coatings. Clean glass, steel, and aluminum with a suitable solvent for optimal adhesion.
2. Priming: Porous surfaces may require priming; conduct a test area to confirm.
3. Joint Design: Maintain a minimum joint width of 4mm and a maximum of 25mm. The joint depth should not exceed 50% of the joint width.
4. Application: Cut the cartridge tip without damaging the thread. Attach the nozzle and cut it at a 45° angle to match the joint size. Apply the sealant using a standard sealant gun, maintaining steady pressure and a consistent angle.
5. Finishing: Smooth the sealant within 15 minutes of application using a wetted spatula or tool to ensure proper adhesion and a neat finish. Remove any masking tape within 5 minutes to achieve clean edges.

Cleaning:

• Uncured Sealant: Remove using white spirit.
• Cured Sealant: Remove with a suitable silicone remover or mechanically.

Limitations:

• Not suitable for aquarium construction.
• Avoid use with bitumen or asphalt.
• Not recommended for highly porous surfaces like new concrete or stone without priming.
• Do not use on substrates that may bleed oils, solvents, or plasticizers.
• Not compatible with the edge sealant of double-glazed units.
• Not suitable for perimeter pointing of uPVC or on soft metals such as lead and brass.
• Non-overpaintable.
